TrendCRM Direct is comprised of multiple modules and a delivery subsystem. Each piece is designed to work together as a whole providing a compelling communication platform.
As an integrated part of the TrendCRM Alliance Platform, TrendCRM employees, clients, and agency partners are all able to access the content management area for campaigns. Role based access is given to each user requiring access to this area.
TrendCRM content managers live in this area day to day.
The client can create content or entire campaigns for sending with their normal Alliance login.
Agency partners given access can collaborate on the promotional messaging.
Direct Profile is a survey mechanism that provides extended user profile information collection.
The Direct Query Engine is an advanced query mechanism that allows the creation of mailing lists based on user registration, profile and survey responses.
TrendCRM Direct supports multiple optin list functionality.
List hygiene is kept in check with a dynamic adjustable system that keeps track of soft and hard bounces and allows thresholds to be set for each.
Direct Render gives the ultimate personalization capability. Each email can contain dynamic content from the system or user information.
Users may request the type of content they receive but TrendCRM Direct also predetermines what domains can receive the richer content. For example AOL can only receive HTML 3.2 standard formatted emails currently.
The Direct Content parser pulls all linked stylesheets and style blocks and transforms them into inline styles to ensure consistency of the promotional message.
Imbedded styles are allowable.
Strict HTML 3.2 compliance mode converts any styles to backward compatible html tags such as <font face=””></font>.

The Direct Scheduler allows the advanced scheduling of an email campaign to send at a predetermined time. There are no immediate send campaigns and TrendCRM requires a prescheduled send delay of 1 hour.
The Direct Queue allows emails to sit in a queue until the moment of the send. This allows users to optout up until the moment of the send.
The queues are adjustable and can be prioritized.
Having users forward your message is important for viral growth of a marketing database and one of the easiest ways to achieve this is with a “Tell a Friend” link. This allows the user to forward an html or text message effectively to another email account.
The reporting modules are available for both internal and external (client and partner) usage.

Part of stats – this reports “reads” only for those who are receiving html messages AND those who allow messages to show images.
This mechanism is driven by processing of the TrendCRM logo png file. This file is processed server side and pushes the logo to the client unnoticed. This proprietary process is less obvious that other read mechanisms that can cause the email to be marked as spam.
Click thrus are tracked for links on a page if requested.
